Who can remember the 2007/08 season? Well done to those of you who are nodding, holding their hands up or saying of ‘course I bloody do.’ That season of course Manchester United won the Premier League and Champions League. But I suspect you already knew that didn’t you?
Whilst unbeaten at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea haven’t exactly lit up the league on their away travels having lost all four of their games away from home with the most recent defeat coming at Carrow Road last week against fellow Premier League new boys Norwich.
Manchester United of course play Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday, so with that in mind it’s worth taking a look at these three players who we should be wary of going into the game:
The visit of Norwich to Anfield this weekend makes me just as nervous if not more nervous than last weekend against United. Obviously on paper the United game was a harder game than Saturday’s fixture but like many commentators have said “A football game is not won on paper”.
The blue half of Manchester will be thanking the red half of Merseyside this week after Liverpool’s draw with Manchester United allowed City to push clear of the reds and finally stand alone at the top of the table.

Wayne Rooney is a silly boy isn’t he? If he isn’t elbowing Wigan players or screaming ‘what? F##king what?’ down the camera, he’s instead kicking Montenegrin internationals in random fits of rage. The three-match ban was justified; you can’t go randomly lashing out at a fellow professional with our without intent. It the end, England managed to get the result they required to qualify as group winners but his actions were in-excusable.
