It’s only a month ago that every Poshj fan alive was either in the stands of Old Trafford or glued to their TV sets watching as 3 goals in 7 minutes sealed Huddersfield’s fate and propelled Peterborough into the Championship.

Being one of the most celebrated and decorated clubs in English Football sure has its repercussions.  Seven FA Cups, Seven League Cups and a massive Eighteen League Titles are the envy of gazillions of supporters and haters of the club worldwide. This success has not come easily at all for a club that came back with a Big Bang to win its critics over after being relegated in 1953.

The premier league at the moment is dominated at regular intervals by two main players, Carlos Tevez and Cesc Fabregas. These two always ignite the bonfire of transfer speculations which feed us football fans during these bleak and barren summer months, and i have started to wonder what will happen to these two.

Spanish football is getting greedy. They are the current World Cup holders and also have both the European Championship and Under-21 European Championship titles.

For the majority of last season the Championship was a one-horse race, with Queens Park Rangers, under the guidance of Neil Warnock, sealing a return to the top flight for the first time in 15 years. Once dubbed “the richest club in the world”, Rangers should be looking to add the vital experience and quality needed to maintain their status in the Premier League. However, as of yet there has been limited activity in the transfer market with failed moves already for the likes of Danny Graham, Steve Morison, and Craig Mackail-Smith, although interest has re-opened in terms of bringing the latter to Loftus Road.

There are always winners and losers in the transfer market and although the window has not been open for long, so far those up North are doing well. Newcastle and Sunderland have started this new window positively, especially the Black Cats, with a flurry of recent signings. 

Tottenham Hotspur missed out on a Champions League place for the 2011/2012 season and will surely feel disappointed after their successful run to the quarter finals in the last campaign. So what do Spurs need to do to break back into the top four?

What happened to Plymouth Argyle? It wasn’t so long ago they were gracing the top half of the Championship and flirting with the play-off positions. Their rapid decline through the football leagues, including administration and a 10 point deduction has placed the club in it’s most perilous position in it’s 125 year history.
