Transfer News: Manchester United Striker’s Future In Massive Doubt

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United’s Mexican striker Javier Chicharito Hernandez, who is on a season-long loan with the Spanish giants Real Madrid might not get a permanent place in Real Madrid’s squad.

But the Mexican has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is all set to send him back to Old Trafford at the end of the season. Hernandez has been used as Karim Benzema’s second choice and has made only seven La Liga appearances and scored three goals for the European champions.

It is almost confirmed that Real Madrid is unlikely to make the deal permanent, and at the same time, he is likely to be shown the door when he returns to Old Trafford too.

There are some reports in Starsport that even if Manchester United are not willing to sign Colombian Radamel Falcao, who is on-loan from Monaco, boss Louis van Gaal is determined to sell Hernandez.

Hernandez made it big in the 2010 season when he scored a goal on his debut and went on to score 20 goals in his first season in England. Even the former boss Sir Alex Ferguson hailed Hernandez as one of the most lethal finishers in Europe. Unfortunately, his form tailed off in the last season and he was sent on a loan to Madrid after last summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

In other Manchester United news, Van Gaal confirmed thatright-back Rafael de Silva is out of action for 6 weeks with a fractured cheekbone which he sustained during his side’s 0-2 win over Yevoil Town in the FA Cup third round. United are looking to finish in the top 4 and qualify for the UEFA Champions League after they splashed some huge money in the 2014 Summer Window in which they signed Angel di Maria, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao.
