FA Cup Semi Final Weekend …

The wait is finally over for the clash that every neutral wanted but most Manchester City fans had hoped to avoid especially as they will be without their talisman Carlos Tevez.

Manchester City vs. Manchester United (16/04/11 – 17.15)

Roberto Mancini confirmed that Tevez will be out for a minimum of three weeks but is confident the duo of Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli will help beat City rivals on Saturday when the two team meet at Wembley.

Having secured their place in the semi-final of the Champions League, Manchester United will be keen to beat city rivals, but they will have to do without Wayne Rooney who will complete the second match of his ban for swearing.

As expected United are favourites, with the best odds being evens whilst City are 5/2. Javier Hernandez has impressed everyone this season and is highly likely to score at some stage so why not make the most of the 7/4 odds.

Dzeko and Balotelli are both 9/4 to score at anytime but due to their lack of form you may find 3/1 on David Silva to appear on the score sheet more appealing. This tie often brings goals, so odds of 6/5 on over 2.5 is very generous and worth backing.

Bolton Wanderers vs. Stoke City (17/04/11 – 16.00)

Sunday will see a meeting of two ex-giants of the English game, Bolton are ranked as favourites at 6/4 but Stoke should not be written off and are an attractive 2s to go win in 90 minutes. Not only is a place in the final up for grabs but the winning side is likely to guaranteed to be in next season’s Europa League.

Unlike the other tie, this game will be a tight affair with limited goals so the best option would be for 8/11 for under 2.5 goals. Johan Elmander and Kevin Davies are 2s to score at anytime and without Daniel Sturridge they are the most likely to score for Bolton.

Stoke will be looking for Kenwyne Jones and Ricardo Fuller for goals, they are also 2s to find the back of the net. One player who regularly pops up with a goal is winger Matthew Hetherington – he is 9/2 to get on the score sheet.

A Manchester United/Bolton final is the bookies favourite at 2s, with United 6/5 to lift the cup.
