Everton vs Blackburn Rovers

Everton vs Blackburn Rovers Saturday 16th April ko 3pm

Everton continue to be without Mikel Arteta with a hamstring injury and are also continually out with Fellani and Saha who both have ankle injuries. Everton could have Tim Cahill back from a foot injury as well as Seamus Coleman and Jack Rodwell although they are all doubts.

Blackburn remain without Steven Nzonzi as he has two more matches to miss on his suspension, Ryan Nelsen has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, Roque Santa Cruz has overcome his hamstring injury however Junior Hoilett remains a doubt with the same injury.

Blackburn have the 4th best record for the number of wins against Everton at Goodison Park however the pressure is mounting up on Steve Kean’s side who have now not won in 8 and with Everton having won 5 of the last 7 games the task will be even more difficult for the away side, Morten Gamst Pedersen could make his 250th start for Blackburn on Saturday.

Everton appear to be safe and on the hunt to finish above rivals Liverpool while Blackburn are still fighting for survival although a win could possibly put a big gap between them and the 3 teams in the relegation zone.

The referee for the game is Kevin Friend.

Prediction: Despite the good record at Goodison, Blackburn haven’t been good away and with Everton’s confident approach recently I think they will be outright winners. 2-0 Everton.
