Villa in for Green

Robert Green is one of many top earners at Upton Park heading for the exit door this summer reports the Sun.

The England keeper has only got 12 months remaining on his £25,000 a-week contract and the club appear happy to let the 31-year old leave in the summer.

Villa sees Green as the perfect replacement for Brad Friedel who is out of contract in the summer.

Green is one of many set for a West Ham exodus, out of contracts players such as Matthew Upson, Kieron Dyer, Lars Jacobsen, Jonathan Spector, Danny Gabbidon and Zavon Hines will all leave the club this summer and loanees Robbie Keane, Wayne Bridge and Victor Obinna will return to their parent clubs.
