Sitting pretty in the top ten with Christmas on the horizon during your first season in the Premier League – it has been a fantastic start for Swansea City.
Playing attractive football, picking up points and certainly belonging of their place in the top flight; however, boss Brendan Rodgers admitted that he “will need to add depth” to his squad in the January transfer window if they are to stay away from the drop zone.
According to The Sun today, the Northern Irish boss is lining bids for four players, including Chelsea’s young starlet Josh McEachran. The central midfielder might be available on loan, with the Swans reportedly ready to seize that opportunity.
McEachran is seen as one of the brightest lights in English football, but Andre Villas-Boas has been reluctant to play him in the Premier League this season with only one appearance to his name. The 18-year-old would fit perfectly into the Swansea mould with his clinical passing style.
