I’m gaining a reputation for FA Cup shock results on Sky Sports.

Two years ago I covered my home club Kettering Town’s win at Hartlepool, much to the embarrassment of Jeff Stelling, and last season I saw Dover Athletic reach the third round at the expense of League One Aldershot.

I looked on course to make it a hat-trick on Saturday when Chelmsford City led Macclesfield Town at half time. But just as I feared getting some dirty looks from the visiting media and directors, Macc forced a replay with a second half equaliser.

However, I might still be given the return match a week on Tuesday and that could make me unpopular with the League Two side for another reason… I also have a reputation for late nights! Nothing to do with drinking, it’s just that each time I go to a mid-week tie it always seems to go into extra time and/or penalties.

On at least seven occasions in the last couple of seasons that’s happened, so I’m preparing myself for a frosty reception and a long night if I’m sent to Moss Rose!
