Ben Arfa, future of the Premier League (Video)

Newcastle’s versatile midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa proved again over the weekend why he has all the skills that could make him one of the Premier League’s most coveted players.

Bought from Marseille, where he partnered Karim Benzema, Ben Arfa has impressed in his two full seasons in the league. In his first season, Nigel De Jong broke the Frenchman’s leg with a terrible challenge that left Ben Arfa on the bench for the remainder of the campaign. Fortunately, he has been able to make a full return and his creativity, imagination and goals were a key part of Newcatle’s outstanding season in which they nearly claimed a Champions League spot.

Ben Arfa has continued his brilliant form into the new season, scoring an absolute peach against Aston Villa this past weekend. For me, he scored the goal of the season last year with his superb solo effort against Bolton which displayed all the skills that will surely have the big clubs come calling sooner rather than later.
