League two predicitons

I am slowly but surely getting there! Last week I scored 8 points and for two weeks running I have managed to correctly guess the score of a match. This week my success came with the Stags as I correctly guessed the Mansfield 1-0 Forest Green result.

This week I put my thoughts to League two. Predicting the scores for this league has been the hardest for me as on my previous attempt I scored a disappointing 3 points. Hopefully I can do better this time around.

Barnet v Northampton (0-2)

Bottom of the table Barnet are struggling as they have yet to record their first win. Even with the knowledge of Edgar Davids I still believe they will struggle this season.

Aldershot v Rotherham (1-2)

Both teams have had a poor start by their own standards and with Aldershot winless in 5 matches I feel Rotherham may just edge it.

Bradford City v Cheltenham Town (2-2)

Bradford have played well at home this season and are pushing for a promotion spot. Cheltenham are third and unbeaten away so I could see this one being a draw.

Bristol Rovers v Torquay United (1-1)

Both teams are very inconsistent and are sitting mid table, therefore I feel this one could end as a stalemate.

Exeter v Chesterfield (2-1)

Exeter have hit a rocky patch of late having lost 4 out of their last 5 matches. However with them being in the play-offs and at home I feel Chesterfield may just lose this one.

Fleetwood Town v Wimbledon (3-2)

Fleetwood are looking good in fourth place and Wimbledon are just off the bottom, however both team’s concede a lot of goals so this could be a thriller.

Gillingham v Burton Albion (1-1)

This could arguably be the tie of the weekend as 1st play 5th. Burton Albion are unbeaten in 8 matches and Gillingham have lost once in their last 10 matches so I can’t separate these two.

Morecambe v Southend (1-0)

Morecambe are improving each week and are unbeaten in 3 therefore I think they may be able to edge out Southend, especially at home.

Oxford United v Accrington Stanley (0-0)

Both teams have been short of good results lately and therefore I’ll call this one a draw just to be on the safe side.

Plymouth Argyle v Rochdale (1-2)

Plymouth are improving but I can’t see them picking up any points this weekend as Rochdale are strong away from home and looking to challenge for an automatic spot.

Port Vale v Wycombe (3-1)

Port Vale are in good form and at home look very impressive. I can see them comfortably beating mid table Wycombe.

York City v Dagenham and Redbridge (1-1)

Both teams are unbeaten in their last couple of matches and therefore they are equal in terms of league position so a draw is a likely outcome.
