Arsenal closing in on striker with eight goals in seven games
With it being rumoured that one of Lukas Podolski or Olivier Giroud will be leaving the Emirates at the end of the season, ESPN are reporting that Arsenal are on the verge of signing 20-year-old Yaya Sanogo from Auxerre.

Arsenal are in need of a few signings and a few wee tweaks to become the title challengers they used to be, and with a striker who has scored eight goals in seven games can surely do no harm to their chances in that.
The French manager said: “It is in advanced stages but it is not done.”
Wenger has continually stated that his priorities in the transfer market are a striker and a goalkeeper, so with a striker all but signed his attention can turn to a monster between the sticks – something which they don’t currently have.
Wojciech Szczesny has shown what he is capable in parts of the season but has also shown that he has ‘a weak mentality’ and can completely collapse under the pressure.
So Arsenal fans, with new signings finally coming in and having a strong second half of the season do you dare to dream if you can get your hands on some silverware next season?
