How clubs are using European veterans as marquees

With the latest marquees in Australia making a mark on the game of the Hyundai A-League. Could there be more stars from Europe boarding the shores down under?

Alessandro Del Piero, Emile Heskey and Shinji Ono have all created a superstar buzz when they first arrived in Sydney. With these players enjoying their time in the A-league there could be more marquees arriving to finish off their careers or even still have that something special to prove.

There are many stars in the footballing word getting past the age of thirty, here are a few names Franceso Totti, Andrea Pirlo, Ryan Giggs.

Totti the captain of Roma is rumored to be looking to finish his career in Australia but this is a very hard ask as he is the front man and idol for Roma. Andrea Pirlo is currently playing for Juventus and has recently won the scudetto and is looking to go that extra year perhaps to finish with the champions league trophy with the Bianconeri

Last but not least Ryan Giggs the Welsh veteran who has gave his his whole life to Manchester United, could he go that extra year, I think so. He will be coming down to Sydney to play against the A-league all-stars who will feature Alessandro Del Piero as their main go to man
