Tottenham have had enough of Emmanuel Adebayor, and with rumours that they will be shifting Jermain Defoe in order to recruit Christian Benteke from Aston Villa, they will need to be busy in getting another striker or two in the coming weeks.
The Express are reporting that Juventus forward Manolo Gabbiadini is on the shortlist of Andre Villas-Boas in what is bound to be as long as his arm. The 21-year-old is available to you as he struts his stuff at the U21 European Championship with Italy and has impressed during his loan spell at Bologna in Serie A.
He appeared in 30 games for the club, scored six goals and created 16 chances for his colleagues. He finished with a shot accuracy of 55% and a pass accuracy of 76% and has bucket loads of potential.
Juventus chiefs are said to be keen to keep the youngster in Turin but if the right offer came along then they would agree to a deal, but agreeing a deal may be a bit more difficult. After all, how do you calculate potential?
AVB prefers a a single striker spearheading his attack, which this season has mainly been Defoe’s responsibility, but if they do tempt Benteke from their Premier League rivals then Gabbiadini will most likely be playing second or third fiddle.
