Chelsea confirm Schurrle signing, but who will be Jose Mourinho’s second signing?

So, there we have it. Chelsea have finalised a deal with Germany international Andre Schurrle from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen. Blues fans can stop worrying that a deal has hit a snag or that a move would collapse if Bayer could not come to an agreement with their new man Son Heung-Min. The £22m deal has been confirmed by the Metro, who are one of many, and attention now turns to who their next transfer will be.

One man linked with a supposed move to Stamford Bridge is Edinson Cavani who has hinted he wants a move away from Napoli, but if Jose Mourinho wants the 29-goal striker he will have to fight off his old club Real Madrid.

How about Wayne Rooney? The Manchester United man has handed in his second transfer request of his Old Trafford tenure, according to Sir Alex Ferguson,  and with Fernando Torres supposedly heading to Barcelona. Rooney scored 12 league goals last season but was often used in a deeper role or on the flank, causing frustration for the Scouser.

With John Terry ready for talks regarding his future and David Luiz an apparent target for La Liga champions Barcelona, so do not be surprised if the Special One – sorry, the HAPPY One, splashes some cash on a centre-back. Eliaquim Mangala, anyone?

It is an exciting time to be a Chelsea fan with everything going on, but for those of us with no affiliation with the club it is going to be a long summer of Chinese whispers.
