Wilfried Bony could be an absolute master stroke at Swansea

If you don’t know much about Bony, here is a few facts about him; he is an twenty-four year old Ivorian striker who currently plays for Vitesse in the Erevidese. He has scored forty six times in sixty five appearances for Vitesse since joining in 2011. His previous clubs include Sparta Prague, their B team and Issia Wazi, who play in the Ivorian league. He was once on trial at Liverpool back in 2007, but failed to impress the youth team coaches and wasn’t signed, but now he could be playing against them next season with the Welsh club, Swansea.

Michael Laudrup has stated he wishes to add reinforcements to his team and alleviate Michu of some of the goal scoring responsibilities. I think Bony could easily do that and due to his style of play being that of a big frontman who can hold the ball up, he will very much bring his teammates into it, whereas Michu seems very assassin like and just gets the job done goal-scoring wise. 

A front three of Pablo Hernandez, Michu and Bony is something that excites me as a fan of football, if the Ivorian does sign, they will have all aspects of front play sorted, a clinical finisher in Michu, a tricky creative inverted winger in Hernandez and Bony who will win majority of aerial duels and chip in with a goal or two, no doubt. I know for a fact Bony was close to joining West Ham this summer until Andy Carroll made his switch from Liverpool to London permanent. With Swansea in Europe as well, Bony could be exactly what Swansea need and vice versa. I’m going to put my neck on the line and back Swansea for a top ten finish, I’m going tp say 7th, with their style of play they will be dominating games in Europe and should dictate the pace, meaning less of a European hangover when they return to the domestic call of duty. I can’t wait, and I’m not even a Swansea fan!
