Does anyone remember the Maltese international Michael Mifsud. Well, the little forward is currently a free-agent. But after leaving Valletta, could Mifsud be planning a return to England?
The 32-year-old made his mark on football in England with Coventry City back in 2007 where he was their go-to man up front. He would spend two seasons with the club before leaving on loan to Barnsley.
The Malta international would represent his country on 96 occasions and was on the score-sheet 37 times.
Despite being at the age where footballers tend to retire, there must be a club out there for him as he still has all the skills and experience to make a mark on any team.
In my opinion, the former Valletta man would be suited now as a striker in the formation being 3-4-1-2, Mifsud being the main man behind the two central strikers creating opportunities.
When he was at Valletta, he scored an impressive 28 goals in 47 appearances from a similar role.
The now free-agent was a main figure for his club when they won the Maltese title in the season of 2011–2012.
Could we be seeing him on our shores soon?
