Manchester United Striker Set To Leave The Club On Loan

With Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and even Danny Welbeck scrapping for places in the forward position at Old Trafford, Manchester United boss David Moyes is planning on sending young goal-getter Federico Macheda to the Championship, according to the Mirror.

We all know him for his substitute appearances a couple of years back where he’d come on and somehow score with a minimal amount of touches on the ball. We also know him for the stories in the media portraying a cocky teenage striker who thinks his career is already untouchable. But now at 22, and with just 30 appearances for his parent club, the time has come for another loan.

He has previously spent time with Italian side Sampdoria, Queens Park Rangers and Bundesliga side Stuttgart more recently, and now Doncaster – who sit in 18th in the second division – are ready to give him a home for the rest of the season.

Macheda is a strong, skilful forward who enjoys dropping into space to collect the ball. His finishing is at a high level for someone of his age and lack of experience, and should he be provided with a run in the Donny side then Paul Dickov’s men will surely be smiling come the end of the season.
