Manchester City looking at Premier League midfielder with 93% pass accuracy

For me, as a Chelsea fan, I’m gutted that Jose Mourinho isn’t tickled by Juan Mata. The Spaniard has looked out of the picture so far at Stamford Bridge after winning the club’s Player of the Year award, and it’s frustrating me behind belief. And it doesn’t help when the likes of Tuttomercatoweb are reporting that Manchester City are ready to draft him into the club in January.

Fighting back the tears, I have take a closer look as to what the Citizens would be receiving should they take one of our star players away from the capital.

Mata was incredible last term. He was the key motor in the Rafa Benitez side and ended up taking part in 64 games in total. You read that right – sixty four. Although his little Spanish legs tired towards the end, understandably, but he racked up a massive 20 goals. He scored 12 in the league, four of which were outside the area, and created a further 95 chances, 12 of which were assists, whilst he has also completed 93% of his passes this season.

The thought of Mata in the City side is frightening. We [Chelsea] have some incredible attacking players, but with Yaya Toure behind him, David Silva alongside him and Sergio Aguero in front of him, City would, in my opinion, be favourites to lift the trophy in May.

Please Jose, unleash the 25-year-old.
