3 Players Manchester United Need To Offload

The argument whether David Moyes’ summer was a successful one in terms of transfers is one for a different day, but there are still players in the squad which I believe should be moved on. Clearing the deadwood is always refreshing, no matter what league you’re in, so here are three players which I believe should be shown the door at Old Trafford.

1) Ashley Young

Since his switch from Aston Villa, Young has had a mixed bag. One day he can look like a world beater, weaving in and out of the opposition, but the majority of the time he is either tripping over the ball, sitting on the floor or crossing the ball out of play. I think his time may be up, however.

2) Anderson

The Brazilian’s career is static. Not only has he failed to establish a place in the side in the six years that he’s been there, but he’s done nothing to suggest that he ever will. He has made two bit-part appearances this season under David Moyes and offered very little.

3) Fabio

It’s clear that Fabio isn’t in the long term future at Old Trafford. Despite already possessing Patrice Evra and Alex Buttner, Moyes was desperate to add another left-back. Bids for Everton’s Leighton Baines and Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao were reported, which suggests that even Evra could be considered back up sooner rather than later.
