Manuel Pellegrini’s stint as Manchester City boss has been a mixed affair so far, though he did play his hand strongly during the summer regarding his transfers, in my opinion. I was sad to see Carlos Tevez leave the Premier League but I was overly excited with the players coming in. However, I would suggest that there is still room to get rid of, either on loan or on a permanent when the opportunity presents itself. Here are three players who I believe City should offload.
1) Aleksandar Kolorov
The 27-year old is a bit-part player at the Etihad and it has been hard to judge. However, taking into account how little he seems to be involved, combined with the shoddy performances he puts in when he does get his chance and I for one think his time should be up.
2) Jack Rodwell
There is no way that the 22-year-old has a long term future at City, and I think a loan deal with a view to making it a permanent one either in January or the summer would suit all parties. With Yaya Toure and Javi Garcia patrolling the centre of midfield he surely won’t be playing much part this season.
3) Costel Pantillimon
Let’s face it, he’s not going to get a game, is he? Joe Hart’s form has been on a steep slope downwards for quite a while now and City need a shot-stopper to offer competition for the place between the sticks, not warm the bench with Richard Wright.
What do you reckon City fans?
