10 Manchester United players who will leave the club before David Moyes

After Gary Neville’s comments about David Moyes outlasting a number of Manchester United players, here are 10 that will be leaving the club before the former Everton manager.

1) Anderson

The Brazilian hasn’t made a mark on the Old Trafford club, more a stain on their wage bill. The midfielder has done nothing to suggest that he will ever progress into an important first team player and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was shipped out in January in favour of other targets.

2) Alex Buttner

The left-back is supposedly tired of playing second fiddle to Patrice Evra and was close to leaving in the summer. It’s unlikely that he will stick around and fight for his place and I’d expect him to be elsewhere this time next year.

3) Wilfried Zaha

With rumours flying around as to why he’s not really featured for United yet, Zaha’s status at the club is already being questioned. Although he was a Sir Alex Ferguson signing you’d expect him to get the nod over Ashley Young at the moment, or at least the last half hour of games.

4) Rio Ferdinand

The old codger is nearing the end of his playing days and will soon have to find something else to do with his time. His contract doesn’t run for much longer, and I can see him moving back to London to his roots and settling into a club like West Ham for the rest of his days.

5) Patrice Evra

The Frenchman is in a similar boat as Ferdinand, although a with a few years to go. If Moyes gets at least the three years that Neville suggested then I would guess Evra will be playing in Ligue 1 by then.

6) Ryan Giggs

Unfortunately for the former Wales skipper his time in football is up. Or at least playing, anyway. Giggs is likely to move into  a full time coaching role rather than a part time one, but whether or not that’s at Manchester United we will have to wait and see.

7) Tom Cleverley

The hype of this chap will never be fulfilled, I’m sorry to break it to you United fans. He can knock a ball around with no real purpose and run around like a headless chicken, but that’s about it. Cleverley is destined to play for a club in the ilk of Hull City.

8) Ashley Young

His diving is driving people mad, and if he continues his dodgy performances then I can see Moyes driving him to whoever wants him.

9) Javier Hernandez

Although he’s getting game time here and there, Hernandez will eventually fed up with being a bit-part player. He has proved time and time again that he’s a match winner but when you’re up against Robin van Persie for that lone slot up top it’s always going to be hard.

10) Shinji Kagawa

The fight for his Manchester United career is on. Will he win it? No. Kagawa will be playing on foreign shores again next season, probably.
