Manchester United fans have been left frustrated this season in regards to the playing time of Shinji Kagawa. David Moyes doesn’t seem to rate the Japan international, or at least it seems that way, and he’s hardly had a sniff of action all season. However, the playmaker may be out of the club sooner rather than later, as Portuguese sources are suggesting that he will be used in a swap deal with Borussia Dortmund, with Neven Subotic coming the other way.
Kagawa has played just one league game this season and had a fine run out. He created two chances and hit the target with 100% of his shots. He has won 100% of his duels, as well as completing 85% of his chances.
Switching over to the man supposedly coming the other way. Subotic has been part of Dortmund’s defence for some time now and formed an impeccable partnership with Mats Hummels.
So far this season the 24-year-old has played six Bundesliga games and won 62% of his duels. He has averaged seven defensive actions per game.
He would be a brilliant replacement for Rio Ferdinand, who hasn’t got long left, and release the shackles that Kagawa has found himself in since his arrival at Old Trafford.
