Arsenal host Borussia Dortmund this evening in the Champions League, so here is a closer look at five Bundesliga players that have the potential to hurt the north London side in their own back yard.
1) Robert Lewandowski
The Poland international has already has eight goals in 11 games in all competition this term and is aiming to send a warning to the Premier League ahead of his contract expiration date this summer.
2) Marco Reus
The Germany international is one of the most creative players in Europe at present and has been the Black and Yellows’ most impressive player this season. He has scored five goals in nine league games and another in the Champions League.
3) Nuri Sahin
Arsenal fans will remember him from his stint at Liverpool last season, and they will have to double up on the 25-year-old is they are to contain him. The midfielder has already made 21 key passes this season in his nine games.
4) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Five goals and six key passes has seen the 24-year-old impress his new set of supporters and the Gunners’ defence will do well to keep him at bay.
5) Henrikh Mkhitaryan
The attacker has scored three goals in seven games this season and created a further 16 chances for his colleagues. He also has a 65% shot accuracy on him, so Arsenal can’t afford to give him any space.
