Now that we have looked at who some of our Premier League clubs should nab from some of Europe’s top leagues, here are five players that Borussia Dortmund should look at from the English topflight.
1) Shinij Kagawa – Manchester United
When the Japan international was strutting his stuff at Signal Iduna Park there were few who could match his creativeness. However, now shackled with a lack of playing time it is looking increasingly likely that his time at Old Trafford could be up, and a move back to the Bundesliga could rekindle his form.
2) Kevin de Bruyne – Chelsea
When Jose Mourinho left the Belgian out of the Champions League squad, people started jumping to comclusions about his future. With 10 goals and 10 assists last season in the German topflight for Werder Bremen, Jurgen Klopp will know exactly what the playmaker is about.
3) Thomas Vermaelen – Arsenal
With Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny the main central pairing in the Arsenal defence, and rumours flying around that Wenger wants another defender in January, it may be time for the skipper to look elsewhere for first team action.
4) Javier Hernandez – Manchester United
One of the most natural goalscorer in European football for me, and it’s frustrating watching him sitting on the bench for the majority of the time.
5) Edin Dzeko – Manchester City
Dzeko has played in the Bundesliga before and was a relative success, and now City have the likes of Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic, the Bosnian may struggle for game time at the Etihad.
