3 Reasons Why Arsenal Should Forget About Ba

Arsenal are short up top and are looking to reinforce their front line, according to the Mirror, and apparently it’s £15m rated-Demba Ba that they’re after. Here are three reasons why I don’t feel the former Newcastle and West Ham man is right for the Emirates side.

1) goal-scorer

The Senegalese forward has never been the most prolific in front of goal, apart from a short spell with his first club, French outfit Rouen, where he scored 22 in 26.

However, since moving to the big leagues, his tally has taken a bettering. During a four-season stint with German side Hoffenheim he scored 40 in over 100 games for the club, while in England he has scored 42 in 100 games.

Not the shoddiest of records, but surely the Gunners can do better?

2) link up play

Although the north London club are packed full of talent in the attacking midfield areas, Giroud is still asked to drop into the lines and collect the ball. It’s not as straight forward as standing in the box which Ba enjoys, Giroud has created 17 chances for his side this season in his 11 games, which is pretty impressive.

3) creatively lacking

Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey are the creative force at the Emirates right now, but as stated Giroud chips in. Ba is a forward who thrives on crosses into the box and throwing his weight around, not connecting with flick, tricks and sparking moments of magic.
