Manchester City Set For January Clear Out, But Do The Unlucky 6 Deserve The Boot?

Life under Manuel Pellegrini hasn’t exactly started with a bang for Manchester City. Although they hammered Norwich 7-0 recently, the Etihad side are currently in eighth place, six points off the leaders Arsenal after losing four games from six away from home.

It now seems as though the Chilean manager has had enough and will stamp his displeasure at the displays by axing a number of first team players.

The names that are being mentioned for the boot are Micah Richards, Joleon  Lescott and Aleksandar Kolorov, as well as Javi Garcia, Edin Dzeko and Joe Hart.

The latter has been amongst all of our papers over the last few weeks because of a string of mistakes, and has seen his place in the side taken by giant Romanian keeper Costel Pantilimon.

For me, Hart deserves his spot back, but his replacement needs to make a mistake of his own first.

Dzeko has scored three goals this season and was the club’s top scorer last season despite a small amount of playing time, and also deserves to be kept on, but may want a move to get a string of games in before the World Cup next year.

Lescott and Richards are both strong, reliable defenders who offer flexibility and are hugely useful assets, and again I feel as though City should keep them on.

Garcia I am not sure about, as he has had a mixed bag. But with Yaya Toure and Fernandinho in the side there looks as though there is little room for the Spaniard.

Kolorov is a player who has fallen right down the pecking order over the last year or so and I can see jump ship sooner rather than later, but all six have a case for keeping their City status.

Who do you think should get the boot, City fans?
