Dimitar Berbatov is the king of cool. The Bulgarian is renowned for his lackadaisical approach to the game as well as his incredible technical ability, but even the most avid supporter of the former Manchester United forward would be shocked that he is supposedly being lined up as a Dimitar Berbatov. Me included, actually, so I thought that I would have a quick look into where he would fit in if the move transpired.
He looks to be suffering from confidence issues this term, having scored only once this season in 10 games, but he could prove to be the ideal man to sit in between Lionel Messi and Neymar. His interchanging play could thrive at Camp Nou and the panache he holds would allow him to link up beautifully with the attacking outlets already in the La Liga side.
Last season Berbatov scored 15 goals in 33 appearances and made 46 key passes. He looked thoroughly impressive in his role at Craven Cottage last term and very much a level above in terms of creative play.
With Berbatov out of contract in west London and the club in a rut in the bottom three at present, the Bulgarian would surely be tempted if an offer is there. Barcelona could do a lot worse than the Fulham man, in my opinion.
