With Wolfsburg midfielder Naldo suggesting that Arsenal and Southampton are interested in his services, I thought that I would take a look at what the 28-year-old could offer the Premier League sides mentioned by The Sun.
The little Brazilian has been on our screen for some time now, as he has been playing in Europe since 2004. He left boyhood club Santos and has since played for Porto, Werder Bremen, Juventus and Wolfsburg, as well as having a loan stint at La Liga side Atletico. He’s also a 33-time Brazil international.
Diego is an immesnely creative talent who sits just behind the strikers. His vision, his technique and the awareness that helps him sow his game together are nothing short of remarkable and he pulls everything off with a touch of flair.
He has made no fewer than 30 key passes this season, more than any individual at either Arsenal or Southampton, and has won an incredible 63/78 take ons.
He has completed 83% of his passes so far in the Bundesliga and has had 21 shots in his 12 appearances, and he’s not bad at chipping in with the defensive work, either – He has completed 19/23 of his tackles this term.
Despite his age I think the little South American would be a brilliant addition to either side. He’s got an eye for the spectacular aswell – check this video out.
