If you are to believe the Express, Arsenal and Liverpool have been handed a boost in their respective chases for Barcelona forward Pedro, as the Spaniard is apparently evaluating his future at the La Liga giants. But should the Gunners be making a move for the 26-year-old?
The nippy little attacker has found life at Camp Nou frustrating, apparently, as he has completed just four full games this season.
He has made 16 appearances all together and scored 10 goals, which is some return considering the lack of game time. It puts him at the top of the list in terms of the club’s top scorer this season.
Pedro has also made seven chances for his colleagues, while holding a 59% shot accuracy.
He is the polar opposite of what Arsenal currently have. Whereas Santi Cazorla is all about the technique and cutting inside, Pedro likes to use his pace to beat players. But unlike Theo Walcott Pedro has a remarkable final ball and can shoot from range.
He is at his best when attacking through the middle though, in my eyes, and he would provide Arsene Wenger with a different option to Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner, who are both bustling target men.
This video will show you what he’s about, but I think Wenger should be looking to sign him.
