In what turned out to be a miserable and somewhat tedious game at the Emirates, Arsenal and Chelsea played out a 0-0 draw in blustery conditions. The Gunners failed to reclaim top spot with the point and Arsene Wenger should be sticking a boot up the squad’s backside, but here are three players who I think deserve to lose their place off the back of the result.
1) Aaron Ramsey
The Wales international has, on the whole, been incredible this season but his performance against the Blues was almost non-existent. His passing looked off, he completed just 73% of his passes, and lost out on all three of his headed duels, both his tackles and won just one of his four take ons.
2) Theo Walcott
Despite his strong performance last weekend against Manchester City, Walcott was dire against Chelsea. He failed to get any change out of Cesar Azpilicueta and his delivery left a lot to be desired. He didn’t find an Arsenal player with any of his seven crosses and he also lost out on all four of his headers.
3) Tomas Rosicky
The Czech playmaker struggled to get a foothold in the game and when he found himself with half a yard of space he couldn’t conjure anything up.
