After 17 games in Serie A, AC Milan currently sit 13th in the Italian topflight. Their awful performances this season has seen them in a somewhat embarrassing position for a side who are thought to have been title contenders, and it hasn’t gone down well with one particular player. Mario Balotelli is said to have grown frustrated with the season and could be on his way back to the Premier League, reuniting with his former manager Jose Mourinho. But what could he offer the Blues?
Known for his outlandish approach to life, Balotelli is actually having a respectable season with the San Siro side.
From his 12 games this term he has scored six goals, which is a decent return, and he has also created 12 chances for his team-mates.
The Italy international is a feisty player but it’s that bite that makes him a fine player to have in your side.
He has been successful in 60% of his tackles, 56% of hid take ons and has even been fouled more times than he has conceded free kicks.
For me, he is a far better option that Demba Ba or Fernando Torres up top, and Samuel Eto’o is not getting any younger, so perhaps a deal to lure the 23-year-old back to England could be a good move.
