Arsenal: Forget Suarez And Sign La Liga Striker With 19 Goals

Luis Suarez has had a terrific season to date. The way that he has covered himself in glory after asking for a move away from Liverpool in the summer and returning from a 10-game suspension for biting a player, is, well, brilliant. His sensational performances have seen him score 20 Premier League goals in just 15 games, so it would take someone special for me to tell Arsenal to forget him, wouldn’t it?

The Gunners were heavily linked with the Uruguayan in the summer but things never materialised, and there has been talk of him joining since. However, there is another player who I thing would suit the Gunners more than Sureaz, and that is Diego Costa of Atletico Madrid.

The Brazilian is one of the most all-round forwards in Europe right now and has the goals to go with it. Costa has 23 in 23 games in all competitions and continues to punch Atletico Madrid into the title challenge.

He can hold the ball up, he can produce in the air and can also drop into the midfield and start attacks himself. In his 18 La Liga games he has made 28 key passes and scored 19 himself, as well as accumulating a 71% shot accuracy.

For me, the power alone would be enough for Costa to get the nod over Suarez, although the latter is scoring goals in the English top tier.

Here’s a clip of Costa.
