Manchester United: Sell Hernandez, Sign La Liga Midfielder With 32 Key Passes

As we all eagerly anticipate what is going to happen this months in terms of transfers, I think that you would agree that some clubs need the transfer window more than others. Manchester United, I am looking at you. David Moyes has seen his side lose four of the last six home games and the pressure is building on the former Everton manager’s back, but this is the perfect month to do something about it. Here’s the two main moves that I think he should do.

Firstly, I would get rid of Javier Hernandez. Yes he’s a remarkable finisher that will get you goals when he is in form, but the Mexican can’t seem to settle this season and he is not hitting the back of the net.

He has played 12 Premier League games so far this season and scored just once, but it’s as if the confidence is draining out of him with every game he plays. For me, with Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Robin van Persie already at the club, I would let Hernandez go and put the money towards a new midfielder.

This is where Ivan Rakitic comes in. The Sevilla midfielder has been instrumental this season in La Liga and is just the type of player that David Moyes needs. He is an energetic man who has created 32 chances this season and scored eight goals, despite playing only 16 league games.

He is good on the ball, is naturally determined and can link the midfield to the attack brilliantly.
