When David Moyes arrived at Manchester United in the summer one of the first things he did was extend the contract of Portugal international Nani. The move meant that United fans expected the winger to be heavily involved in the upcoming season, but with the introduction of Adnan Januzaj has seen Nani somewhat excluded. It now seems as though he will be leaving the club this month, either on loan or on a permanent deal, with either Fulham or Sporting Lisbon a potential suitor.
But what they be getting?
The 27-year-old has made eight appearances this season in the league and created 11 chances, but away from a few key passes he has had next to no impact. Nani is known for his blistering pace and the way he can strike a ball from distance, but he is also a very skilful player.
From step overs to flicks and tricks, Nani has it all in his locker, but he drifts in and out of games more than most wingers.
Nani is a strange case. He has every attribute to succeed at the very top yet his time in England has felt somewhat of a disappointment, although a move away could rekindle the form he showed in his early days.
