Since Martinez took over from Moyes in the summer, Everton have gone from strength to strength and see themselves sitting in 5th place, 7 points off the leaders Arsenal.
I believe Everton have everything in place to finish in a top four position this season but when you look at the four teams above them: Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal, it’s hard to see the current top four dropping many points this season.
It’s clear Everton need to strengthen in the attacking berths to enhance their chances of a top four finish and the injury to the impressive Deulofeou and the sale of Jelavic has left Martinez momentarily short for options upfront.
I think Martinez should look to the Bundesliga, where Brazilian attacker, Raffael has helped Borussia Monchengladbach to 3rd place in the league.
Raffael is versatile and can play as an attacking midfielder behind the striker or has the credentials to lead the line himself, as he has done for most of this season. The Brazilian has scored 9 goals this season from 17 games, which is a little bit better than 1 goal every 2 games.
Raffael is 28-years-old, so Everton would possibly be able to get a reasonable deal on the attacker and could be a good option to pursue.
