With the likes of Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky in their attacking spaces, and Lukas Podolski in reserve, and with Theo Walcott recovering from injury, Arsenal have a notably strong offensive unit. They are able to play with freedom as a result of their solid midfield as well, with Mathieu Flamini, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta in the central areas, but up top I still think they are looking light of quality.
Olivier Giroud is still ploughing on despite having played a huge number of games, but he can’t do everything by himself. For that reason I would suggest that the Gooners use Podolski as a striker until the summer, and then look to sign Mario Mandzukic, who is scoring freely in the Bundesliga.
The Croatia international has 15 goals to his name this season in his 29 games and has created plenty of opportunities, so to stick him in the box at the Emirates I think he would continue the same sort of form.
I would probably look to offload Nicklas Bendner in the summer too, as the big Dane is not a player you’d want to rely on for goals. With Yaya Sanogo in the youth ranks and Giroud already at the club, I would feel confident that Mandzukic would be enough for next season.
