Name three players who you would like to see come into Manchester United, or a few that could really strengthen the side and the chances are that all three would be midfielders. You won’t be surprised then that the Mirror are reporting the Red Devils to a trio of midfield players, all of which who play in the Bundesliga. Let’s have a quick flick through.
Ilkay Gundogan is the first name, who is a central midfielder with the vision and technique to improve any side on the planet. He can play in a deep role, can push up and support the attack or he can dictate from the centre circle – whatever he is doing he’s a remarkable player.
The second is his team-mate Marco Reus, who unlike Gundogan spends most of his time on the wings. He can play anywhere across the attacking areas and has a rasping shot on him, so it’s only natural that he cuts inside and unleashes it on a regular basis.
He is a creative player who would not only improve the squad massively but it would also push out a few players who I consider deadwood – the likes of Nani and Ashley Young.
Last on the list is Bayern Midfielder Toni Kroos, who is also a central player but one who loves to keep the ball moving with his range of passing.
To stick all three of these players into a side containing the likes of Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney would surely be transforming them into title contenders. I say yes to all three.
