Manchester United’s Season Is Dead: 3 Signings That Can Rejuvinate David Moyes’ Side Next Summer

Manchester United looked on course to pull off a shock result at Bayern Munich as Patrice Evra’s superb strike put the Red Devils ahead, but just a minute later Bayern hit back through Mario Mandzukic. Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben then scored goals, giving Bayern a 3-1 victory and an aggregate score of 4-2. The result means Manchester United’s season is as good as dead, as they are out of all competitions and seventh in the Premier League. To change things around, here are three players who I think they should look to sign in the summer.

1) Ivan Rakitic

The Croatian has been superb this season for Seville and his name is one that continually pops up. His touch is incredible and the way he can pick a pass is just as impressive, and for me he should be top of the list for Moyes.

He has 12 goals and 12 assists between La Liga and the Champions League this season.

2) Kyriakos Papadopoulos

The big Greece international has overcome a long term injury and is back patrolling the defence of Schalke. He’s made just one Bundesliga start this season and another three appearances as a sub, and has averaged 1.5 clearances per game.

He has the power needed and is still only 22.

3) Toni Kroos

The man on everyone’s lips. Kroos is a player who would add so much depth to the United midfield and could be the difference between a top four finish and another dismal season. He has completed 93% of his passes this season.
