If Liverpool win their final game of the Premier League against Newcastle on Sunday, and Manchester City lose to West Ham, Liverpool will lift the trophy. All they can do is win their game, and I believe that this is the starting 11 that I think Brendan Rodgers should choose.
In goal I would naturally choose Simon Mignolet, with Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho in the centre of defence. Although the two aren’t the most agile of players, they should have the necessary ability to deal with Loic Remy.
At right-back it has to be Glen Johnson, despite his questionable form, and on the left I would opt for Jon Flanagan. The 21-year-old has had a superb season on the left of defence and has been the solution to the otherwise dodgy position at Anfield.
In the middle of my 4-3-3 I would go with Steven Gerrard, obviously, Joe Allen, and Jordan Henderson if he is available. The former Sunderland star has been missed massively over the past few weeks and can be seen as the reason as to why the Reds have let the title slip through their fingers.
The final three pick themselves – Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez have 60 league goals between them this season.
