Arsenal: Sign Serge Aurier And Paul Pogba In Order To Challenge For Title Next Season

With Bacary Sagna running out of contract in the summer, Arsenal will need a new right-back to come in and fill the whole that will potentially be left by the France international. They also need a tough-tackling midfielder to come in and toughen up the middle of the field. Here is how I would go about it if I were Arsene Wenger.

The natural right-back replacement is Serge Aurier of Toulouse. He is a 21-year-old who plays in a similar way to Sagna, bombing up the pitch and looking to get balls into the box while also keeping an eye on proceedings behind him.

In his 34 Ligue 1 appearances for his club this season he scored six goals, claimed six assists and made 94 tackles.

The midfield destroyer that I would look to sign is Paul Pogba. He is an athletic player who is able to stride through opponents while also muscling people off of the ball. He holds an overwhelming physical presence but is also notably able on the ball.

Pogba claimed seven league assists this season, scored seven goals and completed 84% of his passes.

Should Arsenal sign the pair then I think they can challenge for the Premier League title next season.
