Shinji Kagawa has rejoined former club Borussia Dortmund after ending his treacherous three year spell with Manchester United. Kagawa was signed by former red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011 but the Japanese failed to make any such impact and didn’t even muster a starting eleven place for the Old Trafford outfit.

The 25-year-old has now signed a four year deal with Dortmund which will keep him in Germany till 2018 and the player can now aim to prosper his career under manager Jurgen Klopp.

“I wanted to realise my Premier League dream but now I’m happy to be back in Dortmund in this great team. Dortmund is like a family,” the midfielder said.

Kagawa made only 57 appearances for United notching up just 6 goals in his three year stay in England. It was believed that Louis Van  Gaal would get the best of Kagawa who plays the number ten role to perfection but instead the Dutch legendary manager had other plans and seemed it perfectly fine to let the player leave and rejoin his former club.
