Michael Owen Still Can’t Stop Talking About Arsenal

Former Liverpool and Manchester United star Michael Owen’s football punditry is not famous among many sections of Arsenal fans. Last season, Owen’s criticism about Ozil’s consistency and his claims about Arsenal not being a top four material angered many Arsenal fans.

The English star still cannot stop talking about the gunners but this time, he has something positive to say about Arsenal’s new signing Danny Welbeck (may be because of Manchester United/English connections?) and he also gave his predictions for the Manchester City game.

Owen said,

‘Having trained and played with Danny Welbeck I know he is a very good central striker and the injury to Olivier Giroud should give him an extended run in the Arsenal side playing down the middle and not out wide which he had to do for much of his time at Old Trafford.”

His tweet about Arsenal vs Manchester City game,

Michael Owen also praised Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling. He expects the rising star to step up his game in the absence of injured Daniel Sturridge.

He commented,

‘Villa are unbeaten in their last three at Anfield but, in the absence of the injured Daniel Sturridge, I expect to see Raheem Sterling step up to the plate’,

‘All eyes will be on the Anfield debut of Mario Balotelli but it is Sterling who excites me and whilst it is premature to call him world class just yet he certainly has the talent to be described as that going forward’.
