REPORT: Ronaldo To Manchester United Possible As Gareth Bale Hints Liverpool Teenager To Join Real Madrid

Real Madrid may reignite their interest at Liverpool teenager Raheem Sterling after certain reports have indicated that Manchester United will do everything to bring back their former player Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese international moved to the Bernabeu for close to £80m in 2009, and since then, he has won everything there is in club football.

The reports that emerged revealed that Ronaldo was very agitated after Real’s transfer policy in the last few years as they sold Mesut Ozil and Angel Di  Maria to Arsenal and Manchester United. The current Ballon d’Or holder enjoyed played with them and according to former President Ramon Calderon, the 29-year old is fed up. Calderon said, “My impression is he is fed up with the policy of the current president.”

CR7 signed a massive £288,000 a week contract last year and Manchester United’s offer will have to be huge for him to make the switch back to Old Trafford. If Ronaldo does decide to move back to Manchester, then Real may test Liverpool’s resolve with a bid for 19-year old Raheem Sterling. The youngster has been in brilliant form for the last 1 year for both club and country. Gareth Bale who made the switch from Spurs to Real Madrid last year, hinted that Sterling may join him at the Madrid club.

He said,

“I think the most important thing is you feel it’s the right move (to Real Madrid).”

“If you feel you’re going to play, then I would encourage a British player to go abroad. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, the new culture, the new life. I felt like I wanted to challenge myself. It’s down to the player himself whether he can kick on.

“If you look at Raheem Sterling, I think he’s shown what a good player he is. He’s starting to perform more consistently.”

“If he keeps working hard and doing what he’s doing then he’s going to keep progressing and the sky is his limit.”

Liverpool have been prey to Real in the past as well as Michael Owen made the switch from Merseyside to the Spanish capital for  in 2004, so Brendan Rodgers will have to tie Sterling down to a new deal as soon as possible.

Manchester United don’t want to stop there as they have have identified Mats Hummels as one of their prime targets in the winter transfer window. Manager Louis Van Gaal has signed big name players in the attacking areas and will want the same to happen in the defensive areas despite signing Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind. The funds are definitely there, but whether Hummels wants to move or not is the important question. Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp had no intention of selling Hummels in the summer, but if United make tempting bid, then he could let the German defender leave.
