Senior Officials At Manchester United Talk About Youngster’s Loan Move

Manchester United have decided against loaning out their winger Adnan Januzaj despite the fact that he has seen very little game time this season. The teenager featured in a lot of games for his side last season under David Moyes but has found opportunities hard to come by this season as manager Louis van Gaal has preferred the likes of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young ahead of the Belgian.

According to The Times, United representatives are not entertaining the idea of loaning him out, “Senior officials at Old Trafford said yesterday that Van Gaal had no plans to loan out the Belgium winger next month.

“Real Sociedad and Inter Milan are among a clutch of clubs interested in taking Januzaj on loan until the end of the season, but Van Gaal has not discussed the prospect with the club’s hierarchy.”

Van Gaal’s tactics have limited Janujaz’s chances

After looking at Januzaj’s performances last season, it was hard to think that Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia would be preferred over him, but Van Gaal’s tactics of playing three at the back with wingbacks beside them has been instrumental in Januzaj’s relegation to the bench.

The wingbacks will need to do a lot of work in the system, something that Young and Valencia have done in recent games despite starting poorly. As a result, Januzaj, whose work rate isn’t the best as he rarely tracks back, has lost his spot.

Jaanuzaj scored four goals and had three assists to his name last season after having made 27 appearances. He has been restricted to just 10 appearances this season, most of them from the bench, and is yet to get on the score sheet or assisted a goal.

A potential loan move to Inter or Real Sociedad, where his former manager David Moyes is operating, was on the cards, but that seems unlikely now.
