Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is set to for a loan move in the upcoming January transfer window with Everton being mooted as the possible destination.

According to reports, the Belgian will move to Everton until the end of the season in order to get some game time that he has sorely missed this season. The teenager has been restricted to just 10 games in the Premier League with most of them being substitute appearances.

Earlier in the month, Januzaj was being linked with a move to Real Sociedad where David Moyes, his former manager, is currently managing, but Sociedad have denied making an offer or even having any sort of interest in him. Everton under Roberto Martinez have made some really shrewd loan signings in the last few transfer windows and could continue to do so as the club operate within a strict budget. The presence of a few Belgian players in the squad could help Everton in signing Januzaj, be it on a temporary basis.

The likes of Gareth Barry, Gerard Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku were signed on loan last season and performed well. With Everton struggling to find good form this season, Martinez could add some fresh faces come January. However, he will face competition from Inter Milan and PSG. Inter under new manager have been linked with a host of players as they are trying to build a younger squad.

Januzaj burst into the scene last season under Moyes and had an impressive campaign as he had four goals and three assists to his name in 27 appearances despite being only 18 years of age. He was expected to continue his good form this season, but unfortunately he hasn’t fit into Louis Van Gaal’s demanding tactics so far. The Dutchman has preferred Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia over Januzaj this season in a 3-5-2 formation where the wing backs need to do a lot of work.
