Arsenal Manager Comments On Ongoing Transfer Deal With Premier League Club

Arsene Wenger

The future of Arsenal’s French striker Yaya Sanogo has been uncertain as Arsene Wenger has not used him extensively this season. The 21 year old striker has not often featured in Arsenal’s first team this season and both manager Arsene Wenger and the player himself would prefer making a move on loan to another club in order to get some game time. Arsenal have had a long list of injuries right through the season and especially to their attacking minded players, yet Sanogo has not been able to impress Wenger and make it into the starting eleven.

Though he may not be playing much part in Arsenal’s season, the youngster has attracted the attention of quite a few clubs, who are interested in signing him. The striker is expected to make a move away from the Emirates pretty soon with things unlikely to change. Premier League rivals Hull City are one of the teams which are also interested in the French U-21 international.

Wenger is keen on getting the young Frenchman some game time and could send him to the KC Stadium to work with manager Steve Bruce and possible get some Premier League action under his belt. Reports suggest that Wenger had this to say about the possibility of a move, “Yaya Sanogo will go out on loan. My option is preferably in England and he will certainly go to a Premier League club. Hull are one of the options and I spoke to Steve (Bruce) last week who is interested, but they have not come back to me about it.”

Sanogo has also been linked previously to a move to Bordeaux which has not materialized as of now and could be an option in the future. At the moment, Arsenal and Arsene Wenger would prefer if the former Auxerre man would stay in the Premier League itself and not leave England.
