Krystian Bielik

Arsenal have been trying to sign Polish teenage sensation Krystian Bielik for quite sometime now. Arsene Wenger has been facing a lot of problems with injuries and the selection of a proper defensive midfielder has left big question marks at times. Although not an immediate solution, the Gunners are looking at the former Polish U-16 international as a long term solution to their midfield problems. Further, chief negotiator for Arsenal, Dick Law has traveled to Warsaw to seal the deal with the Polish club.

The Premier League club and German club Hamburg have been in the hunt for the defensive midfielder since the summer, yet, Arsenal have stepped up now in their pursuit for the player. According to Przegląd Sportowy, Arsenal have taken the lead in the race for the 17-year-old by sending Law to negotiate a deal. The youngster who plays for Legia Warsaw has a current price tag of £4m to his name. However, latest reports from English Media Telegraph suggests that the Gunners have almost completed the transfer and are believed to have secured their man for a £2.4m deal.

The reason the Gunners and boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to sign the youngster is because of his resemblance to former Arsenal captain. The French manager believes is that Bielik could be the key man to unlocking Arsenal’s doors to success and wants him at the Emirates soon. Arsenal have been looking for a defensive midfielder to strengthen their squad since the summer, but have not been able to sign a right man for the job.

Whether or not, the starlet is able to make an impact at the top level of football remains to be seen, for the moment. Only one thing is certain, if everything goes according to plan, Wenger could have his man at the Emirates soon.
