January Transfers: Chelsea Eager To Offload Two Superstars As Window Moves Ahead

According to the latest reports, Chelsea are now planning to offload a few of their own in the January transfer window. The Blues have been in the market all season for the signature of a world class defender, as manager Jose Mourinho believes that he needs more quality additions to the defensive line of his Chelsea side. The Premier League side has been linked with Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, who has not been able to make it to the first team often, ahead of Pepe and Ramos.

In order to fund the move for the Madrid Star, Chelsea now looks to cash on a certain set of players including Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and German World Cup winning Andre Schurrle, who were not even part of the Chelsea squad which beat Newcastle on Saturday. The German was also hauled off at half-time against Watford, in their 3-0 win in 3rd round of the FA Cup. On the other hand, the 22 year old Salah, was on the bench for that game and was brought into the game. Further the winger has started just nine matches since joining from Basel last year.  Reportedly, The Portuguese manager is ready to listen to offers for either of the players with a view of letting them make the move, if a deal works out.

What happens next remains to be seen, as the future of both these stars, still hangs in the balance as of now.
