After a defeat to top 4 rivals Southampton at home last weekend, Manchester United bounced back to winning ways as they registered their first league win in 2015 courtesy a 0-2 win over QPR with goals from Maruone Fellaini and James Wilson. After a below par first half, Van Gaal ditched his favourite 3-5-2 formation and changed to 4-4-2 which saw United flourish. Initially, the Dutch deployed winger Angel di Maria to play upfront with Radamel Falcao with Rooney playing a bit deeper.
Belgian midfielder Fellaini replaced Juan Mata in the half-time and he responded with a 58th minute with a goal that gave the Red Devils a much needed 0-1 lead. English striker Charlie Austin was saved twice by David de Gea before substitute James Wilson put the visitors 0-2 ahead with a goal in the stoppage time. But United’s best player on the pitch was Argentine defender Marcos Rojo. Falcao was handed a start by the Dutchman but he failed to get his name on the score sheet as Robert Green saved two shots which could have been Falcao’s goals. Here are some of the tweets regarding the match.

4-4-2 ahead of 3-5-2. Will Van Gaal change his philosophy?
Hope Van Gaal sees that 4-4-2 is the way forward and uses it instead of 3-5-2

Still the Falcao debate continues. Few want him at Old Trafford.
Tbh with Falcao the chances were there to be taken, on a another day you never know so I’m still confident he’ll do well this season! #mufc
