January Transfers: Chelsea On The Verge Of Completing Negotiations For Superstar Winger

According to reports, Chelsea are about to finalize negotiations with Italian giants Roma about the transfer move for Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah. The 22 year old, former Basel man, who moved to Chelsea in 2014, has only played a total of 13 games till date and managed to score twice. This has not impressed manager Jose Mourinho, who is looking to win as much silverware as possible this season with the Blues, after a less fruitful previous campaign.

Reportedly, The Blues are looking to make a move for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado. The 26 year old was quite impressive in the World Cup and had caught the attention of many clubs across Europe and Chelsea in particular are keen in acquiring his services. In order to fund a move for the Columbian, the Portuguese chief will have to offload Salah first. This is one of the main reasons that Chelsea are keen on finalizing a deal with the Italians, who have shown a strong interest in him.

Chelsea are hopeful to cash in on him and hopefully  a deal will be agreed upon between the two clubs. However, according to Guardian, the Egyptian is set for a 6 month paid loan for  £550,000 and Roma will have an option to buy him permanently in Summer for a fee of around £11m.
